Ceramic Shears Mod 1.17.1/1.16.5 is a Forge mod that adds Ceramic Shears to the game. So it is possible to craft shears out of clay.
Features:
Adds 3 items to the game:
- Clay Shears Part: Craftable with two clay balls.
- Ceramic Shears Part: Craftable in the furnace with a Clay Shears Part.
- Ceramic Shears: Act like vanilla shears but has only 75% durability. Craftable with two Ceramic Shears Part.
Crafting recipes for all items to get Ceramic Shears.
Supported Behaviour:
- Shearing sheeps to get wool
- Harvest leaves, cobweb, tall grass, seagrass, ferns (both normal and 2-high), dead bushes and vines
- Shearing mooshrooms
- Shearing a tripwire connected to a tripwire hook does not trigger it
- Shearing pumpkins
- Shearing snow golems
- [1.15] shearing beehives or bee nests at honey level 5

How to install:
- Make sure you have already installed Minecraft Forge.
- Locate the minecraft application folder.
- On windows open Run from the start menu, type %appdata% and click Run.
- On mac open finder, hold down ALT and click Go then Library in the top menu bar. Open the folder Application Support and look for Minecraft.
- Place the mod you have just downloaded (.jar file) into the Mods folder.
- When you launch Minecraft and click the mods button you should now see the mod is installed.
