Using this Advanced Chimneys 1.16.5-1.12.2 tweak-mod, at your disposal will be new decorative chimneys of various vanilla blocks. If you put the fireplace next to a working stove, then the smoke will rise up with the fire. The color of the smoke will depend on the chimney block.
