Spades Extension Mod (1.18.2, 1.17.1) adds into the game a new powerful tool, which seems quite similar to the orthodox shovel at first, yet, after players use the tool, they will realise that the Spades can dig a 3×3 area. With this ability, players can easily destroy a big chunk of dirt to build their houses’ foundations upon. This allows for a much faster building speed and open the opportunity for players to create unique and creative bases rather than spending time on grinding through the dirt. Granted, this is a tool that the original game should have implemented, yet Mojang often shy away when it comes to users’ experiences. From now on, players can use the Spades to substitute for the old and obsolete shovel.

How to install:
- Make sure you have already installed Minecraft Forge.
- Locate the minecraft application folder.
- On windows open Run from the start menu, type %appdata% and click Run.
- On mac open finder, hold down ALT and click Go then Library in the top menu bar. Open the folder Application Support and look for Minecraft.
- Place the mod you have just downloaded (.jar file) into the Mods folder.
- When you launch Minecraft and click the mods button you should now see the mod is installed.
