The Torcherino 1.17.1-1.12.2 adds a blue torch that will accelerate the growth of plants. This will also speed up the melting of ore and reduce the cooldown on spawning mobs. To change the range, right-click the torch and use Shift + right mouse button to accelerate.
Vanilla items will get more options for use, because now you can find compasses and use them as ingredients to create a small booster.
