Copper Ore is the most common ore found in the overworld. It can be found by mining copper blocks. The more you mine it, the more copper you find. Tin Ore is found by mining tin blocks. It can be used to craft tools and armor from any of the other ores. Mythril Ore is a rare ore that can only be mined out of Mythril Blocks. It’s a very valuable ore that can be used to craft bows and arrows from any of the other ores. Adamantium is a hard ore that can only be mined out of adamantite blocks. It’s used to make tools and weapons with high durability

Amazing features of SimpleOres Mod

SimpleOres Mod is in fact a quite small mod that cannot totally overhaul the experience of Minecraft, including any form of currency, any novel realms, any NPCs and mobs, or anything like that. It is created to add 5 more new ores such as Tin, Onyx, Copper, Adamantium, and Mithril to the base game.

You can find all the ores easily in the overworld except for Onyx, which can be only found in the Nether. And of course, each different kind of ores will have its own special properties, toolsets, armor, and even more. For instance, Onyx is more durable and can defend better than even diamonds. In addition, Onyx armor can stop more destruction. Therefore, your tools will be able to demonstrate operations much faster.

SimpleOres Mod

After finding your needed ores, you can melt them down to get a full set of tools, weapons, armor. Then, you can use them to strengthen the house’s walls or just for decorative purposes. Plus, you will be able to extract more varieties of ore which have similar features with vanilla, what’s more interesting?

This 1.16.5/1.15.2 version of SimpleOres Mod was carefully designed to improve all the limitations of the old one, thus, when playing with Minecraft, you will have the most memorable experience.

SimpleOres Mod is simple to use, of course, however, at first, you may still face some problems. The large number of new items like ore types, ore blocks, ingots, and sets of tools that SimpleOres can add to Minecraft can make you feel confused. But don’t worry, just after 2 to 3 days playing, you will gradually get used to all the new recipes and you will find out that this mod is really one of the greatest updates to Minecraft you ever see. The mod provides a strong focus on the balance, making it so outstanding from others.

Copper Ore:

  • Copper Ore is one of the two ores you are likely to encounter very near to the start of a new world, with the other being Tin Ore. Copper Ore is abundant, and can be found up to heights of 90 (by default).
  • The primary use of Copper Ore is to be smelted into a Copper Ingot using the Furnace, as shown below. Copper Ingots can then be used for a large number of things, such as Copper Tools, Copper Armor, etc.
  • Copper Ore spawns in the Overworld, where it can spawn at heights up to 90, with 35 blocks spawning in each chunk, in a vein of up to 7 blocks. The Copper Ore spawn rate, spawn height and vein size can all be changed using the Config.
  • When broken with a Stone pickaxe or better, Copper Ore will drop itself. Copper Ore is not effected by Silk Touch or Fortune enchantments, the same way Iron Ore is not.

Tin Ore

  • Tin is the second ore you will likely encounter near the start of a new world, with the other being Copper Ore. Tin Ore is almost as abundant as Copper, only slightly less, but spawns up to the same height of 90 (default).
  • The primary use of Tin Ore is to be smelted into a Tin Ingot using the Furnace, as shown below. Tin Ingots can then be used for a large number of things, such as Tin Tools, Tin Armor, etc.
  • Tin Ore spawns in the Overworld, where it can spawn at heights up to 90, with 30 blocks spawning in each chunk, in a vein of up to 7 blocks. The Tin Ore spawn rate, spawn height and vein size can all be changed using the Config.
  • When broken with a Stone pickaxe or better, Tin Ore will drop itself. Tin Ore is not effected by Silk Touch or Fortune enchantments, the same way Iron Ore is not.

Mythril Ore

  • Mythril Ore is the first truly interesting ore you will happen across. Unlike Tin and Copper, Mythril has a lower spawn rate and only spawns below layer 35 (default). However, Mythril can be used to craft some unique and powerful items, making it an ore worth finding.
  • The primary use of Mythril Ore is to be smelted into a Mythril Ingot using the Furnace, as shown below. Mythril Ingots can then be used for a large number of things, such as Mythril Tools, Mythril Armor, Mythril Bow and the Mythril Furnace, etc.
  • Mythril Ore spawns in the Overworld, where it can spawn at heights up to 35, with 8 blocks spawning in each chunk, in a vein of up to 4 blocks. The Mythril Ore spawn rate, spawn height and vein size can all be changed using the Config.
  • When broken with an Iron pickaxe or better, Mythril Ore will drop itself. Mythril Ore is not affected by Silk Touch or Fortune enchantments, the same way Iron Ore is not.

Adamantium Ore

  • Adamantium Ore is the third tier of ores introduced by SimpleOres, after Mythril and Copper/Tin. Adamantium Ore has a lower spawn rate than even Mythril, and will only spawn below layer 20 (default). Adamantium Ore, when used to create tools, has a very high mining speed, meaning you will definitely want to collect as much of this as you can.
  • The primary use of Adamantium Ore is to be smelted into an Adamantium Ingot using the Furnace, as shown below. Adamantium Ingots can the be used for a large number of things, such as Adamantium Tools, Adamantium Armor, etc.
  • Adamantium Ore spawns in the Overworld, where it can spawn at heights up to 20, with 4 blocks spawning in each chunk, in a vein of up to 4 blocks. The Adamantium Ore spawn rate, spawn height and vein size can all be changed using the Config.
  • When broken with an Iron pickaxe or better, Adamantium Ore will drop itself. Adamantium Ore is not effected by Silk Touch or Fortune enchantments, the same way Iron Ore is not.

Onyx Ore

  • Onyx Ore is the next to final ore tier in SimpleOres. Unlike the other 5 ores, which all spawn on the Overworld, Onyx Ore spawns only in the nether, where it blends in with all the other Netherbrick blocks. Items crafted from Onyx have a very high number of uses.
  • The primary use of Onyx Ore is to drop the Onyx Gem, which is dropped when the block is broken, or obtained from smelting the ore in a Furnace, as shown below. The Onyx Gem can then be used for a large number of things, such as Onyx Tools, Onyx Armor, Onyx Bow and the Onyx Furnace, etc.
  • Onyx Ore spawns only in the Nether, where it can spawn at any height, with 5 blocks spawning in each chunk, in a vein of up to 8 (though it will never reach this due to there being a lower number of blocks per chunk). Due to its texture, Onyx Ore blends in with its surroundings, meaning it can be difficult to spot from a distance. The Onyx Ore spawn rate, spawn height and vein size can all be changed using the Config.

Blocks

Copper Block

  • Copper Blocks are decorative mineral blocks made from Copper Ingots which do not appear in normally generated maps anywhere.
  • Copper Blocks can be made by placing 9 Copper Ingots in a crafting grid. This is a convenient way to store large amounts of ingots, as they can be recovered by placing the block in a crafting grid, receiving all 9 ingots in return.

Tin Block

  • Tin Block is a craftable item. It can’t be found in the world. Mainly used for storing Tin Ingots or as a decor element.

Mythril Block

  • Mythril Block is a craftable item. It can’t be found in the world. Mainly used for storing Mythril Ingots or as a decor element.

Adamantium Block

  • Adamantium Block is a craftable item. It can’t be found in the world. Mainly used for storing Adamantium Ingots or as a decor element.

Onyx Block

  • Onyx Block is a craftable item. It can’t be found in the world. Mainly used for storing Onyx Gems or as a decor element.

Items

Copper Ingot

  • Copper Ingots are the material obtained by smelting Copper Ore in a Furnace. Copper Ingots are used to make a wide variety of items such as Copper Tools, Copper Armor, Copper Buckets and more.

Tin Ingot

  • Tin Ingots are the material obtained by smelting Tin Ore in a Furnace. Tin Ingots are used to make a wide variety of items such as Tin Tools, Tin Armor, Tin Shears and more.

Mythril Ingot

  • Mythril Ingots are the material obtained by smelting Mythril Ore in a Furnace. Mythril Ingots are used to make a wide variety of items such as Mythril Tools, Mythril Armor, Mythril Bows, Mythril Furnaces and more.

Adamantium Ingot

  • Adamantium Ingots are the material obtained by smelting Adamantium Ore in a Furnace. Adamantium Ingots are used to make a wide variety of items such as Adamantium Tools, Adamantium Armor, Adamantium Shears and more.

Onyx Gem

  • Onyx (or Onyx Gem) is the gem that drops when Onyx Ore is mined by a Diamond pickaxe or better. Onyx is used to make a wide variety of items such as Onyx Tools, Onyx Armor, Onyx Bows and Onyx Furnaces and more. Onyx can be obtained by mining Onyx Ore, which will cause the gem to drop from the block, or it can be smelted in a Furnace if Silk Touch is used to mine the ore.

Mythril Rod

  • The Mythril Rod is a crafting material, made from two Mythril Ingots. Mythril Rods are used in the crafting of the Mythril Bow.

Onyx Rod

  • The Onyx Rod is a crafting material, made from two Onyx Gems. Onyx Rods are used in the crafting of the Onyx Bow.

Copper Bucket

  • The Copper Bucket is made from Copper, rather than Iron. Copper has too low a melting point to contain Lava, and copper curdles Milk. However, a Copper Bucket will transport water.
  • The Copper Bucket has advantages over the Iron Bucket. Copper is more plentiful, and generally available sooner, than Iron, allowing for ease of use early in the game (when Iron is better used for tools and armor). Further, a Copper Bucket can be smelted back into the three Copper Ingots used to craft it. This means a large number of Copper Buckets can be crafted to transport a larger amount of water, and then be completely restored to the original crafting materials.

Copper Bucket of Water

  • The “Copper Bucket of Water” item is a Copper Bucket that contains water.
  • The Copper Bucket functions as an Iron Bucket. Right-click on water to “pick up” a water block in the Copper Bucket. This is shown in inventory as a “Copper Bucket of Water”. A Copper Bucket containing water does not stack. Hold the Bucket of water and right-click on a block to “empty” the water on to the adjacent surface of that block.
  • A Copper Bucket full of water cannot be smelted to recover the Copper. Empty the Bucket first.

Tools

Show Content »»

Copper Tools

  • Copper Tools are tools made from Copper Ingots. These tools are often constructed early game as an alternative to Stone tools. They have a higher number of uses and a slightly higher enchantability than stone tools.

Tin Tools

  • Tin Tools are tools made from Tin Ingots. These tools are often constructed early game as an alternative to Stone tools or Copper Tools. They have a higher number of uses and a slightly higher enchantability than stone tools.

Mythril Tools

  • Mythril Tools are tools made from Mythril Ingots. These tools are often used as a mid-way between Iron tools and Adamantium or Diamond tools. They have more than 3x the number of uses of Iron tools (about half that of Diamond), however they have a speed, damage vs entity, and enchantability equal to or better than those of Diamond, making them a very worthwhile tool.

Adamantium Tools

  • Adamantium Tools are tools made from Adamantium Ingots. These tools are often used as an alternative to Diamond, due to their very high mining speed. While they have a lower number of uses, and a very low enchantability, Adamantium tools are 1.75x the speed of Diamond tools, making them blazingly fast.

Onyx Tools

  • Onyx Tools are made from Onyx Gems. These tools are an upgrade from Diamond, due to their vastly higher durability. Onyx Tools are superior to Diamond Tools in every aspect.

FAQ

Q: How do I get the ore?

A: Go to the ore veins and mine it out. You can also use a pickaxe to break the block.

Q: Where do I find these new ores?

A: They can be found in the overworld and nether.

Q) Is SimpleOres Mod compatible with other mods?

No. SimpleOres Mod is a standalone mod. It is not compatible with any other mods.

Q) What does the Ore dictionary do?

The dictionary in SimpleOres Mod allows you to view all the recipes for the ores and their ingots/bars in-game, as well as view information about what item/block will drop from which ore or from which type of mining. This is useful if you want to know what ore will drop when you mine a certain type of block, or if you want to know how much it will cost to smelt an item made out of each ore.
